Tweet Your Blog Posts To Get Retweeted

Blog posts are something to tweet about and…they get retweeted.  They generally have great information and and if tweeted correctly, they will link back to your blog and bring traffic to your website.  Think of the 140 character tweet as a “teaser” so the title of your blog post should be interesting enough to pique the curiosity of a person reading a tweet.  Pretty simple huh?

Think about it…you are not saying “See this great product…”, “Amazing business opportunity…” or “If you don’t see this you are stupid!”.  Make the title interesting and the blog post too.

The tweet you would see for this post…and you will if you follow me…will be “Tweet Your Blog Posts To Get Retweeted…http://bit.ly/czLoSv”.  I now expect two things to happen…first, they will click on the link to finish reading the blog post and second, they found the information so great, they retweet it to their followers.  I know not everyone will but if I get 10% I will be happy that at least 10% of my followers have some level of intelligence…LOL.

Think about the crap you see in your Twitter timeline.  I hate all those idiots with machine gun spam…three tweets or more in 5 seconds that all hawk some lame product or something.  No retweets for those people…they go to the block.  I not only don’t want to follow them anymore, I want to make sure I don’t follow them again by accident.

Twitter would be a much more valuable, enjoyable place to go if people would tweet valuable or entertaining information and give up the stream of spam.  Don’t get me wrong…I am not saying people should not promote their business…in fact if you are posting your tweets from a blog with an interesting title you will have far more success of getting your tweet read and retweeted.  Give it a try.  If you need a blog, join here and you can set one up to tweet from and also have access to a growing twitter network who will retweet your valuable info.
